Glenn Reynolds’ “The Judiciary’s Class War”

University of Tennessee law professor Glenn Reynolds (of Instapundit fame) has written an excellent new book, The Judiciary’s Class War, which is inexpensive, accessible to the lay reader, and highly informative. In essence, he argues that the federal judiciary, and especially the U.S. Supreme Court, have become the elitist enclave of society’s Front-Row Kids, who attended Ivy League law schools and have “thoroughbred” resumes. One consequence is that the courts have become an inbred echo chamber for fashionable views held by the legal academy and the commentariat. I review the book today in Law and Liberty. I highly recommend it. Glenn Reynolds for the Supreme Court!
